I am a naturopath who does an annual cleanse for the month of January. In 2010, I thought I would post the foods/meals that I am eating each day to share and provide ideas for what other people may want to eat during a cleanse. Normally, I don't include meat, dairy products, eggs, caffeinated drinks, alcohol, refined sugar, and processed foods in my diet, and during the cleanse, I also don't include unrefined sweeteners, gluten containing grains, soy, and nightshade vegetables (potatoes, peppers, eggplant, tomatoes). This change in diet offers my body a break from foods that have the potential to place extra strain on the digestive system and liver, allowing my system a chance to cleanse and work more efficiently.
